Question Farming at Augury Rock

Hi, I'm new here guys, be nice

Just got a quick question about farming grifs and minos in Augury Rock.

I currently have a W/Mo build with the following skills:

Cyclone Axe, Bonneti's Defense, Balthazars Aura, Balthazars Spirit, Healing Hands, Healing Breeze, Live Vicariously and Zealot's fire. My problem is that once I've aggroed all the grifs and minos on the map, and got rid of the scorps I can't quite hold onto my health enough, even if I keephealing breeze and healing hands going, I have balthazars spirit and live vicariously on to boost my health and energy, but whilst i'm waiting for the cooldown to recharge on healing hands i'm left vunerable to attack, and even with bonneti's on i can't quite hold onto my life for long enough.

Does anyone have any tips, or advice they can offer me to be able to keep my life intact from so much aggro? Thanks.

Your build wont work as you are missing one of the most essential skills needed to regain health. Try searching and you will find it in any griff farming build.

Its vigrous spirit

^ yeah vigorous spirit helps too... didn't know you didnt have that
you might not even need healing hands if you throw that on

is the breeze high enough?
are you keeping bonnettis on all the time except for when you dish out smiting prayers?
armor is max AL?
bonnetis should save your tail all the time IMO, and you should pretty much have it on all the time
no adrenaline problems while using CA i'd suspect
time everything correctly
run in with breeze and everything already on.

don't know what else is wrong

you could always try doing the griffons in 2 smaller groups.

o yeah just remembered dont try and solo them all when you are new to it. Try doing two smaller mobs.

Switch Zealot's for Vigerous Spirit(Correct Spelling?). You're not casting many spells so its not doing that much extra damage anyways.

Also you might wanna play around with your attributes a litte. I'm not sure how you have them set, but what i've found is that you should't rely on your axe for damage: its more for gaining adrenaline.

Im not going to expose my build here, even though its basically the same as yours with the mentioned change.

ANET will probably nerf the griffons soon anyways. God forbid they give them distracting blow or something.

I hope this helped you.

Enjoy,

Jodie

I have standard knight armor for this build particularly, with gladiator hauberk and leggings. No Runes attached, although a major/sup rune would be nice

But, thats what i'm farming for in the first place, heh...well, that and my deldrimor armor.

My attribute distribution is 12 on healing, 12 on smiting, whatever i have left is on axe mastery and tactics.

I always keep breeze going, but as I said, once HH runs out bonnetis can't hold the dmg for long enough to keep me afloat.

Oh yeah, i'm able to do the grifs in smaller groups, it's just i'm trying to conserve some time by doing the groups bigger, it's just a matter of perfecting the farming strategy.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I really appreciate it.

this is my build...it works good...i aggro EVERYTHING on the whole map and fight them at once...and i dont die...saves me time...

cyclone axe/bonetti/bathazal's aura/symbol of wrath/healing breeze/healing hands/mending/live vicariously

my tips are...after you cast mending and live vicariously on you...you should have 14 energy left...at least with glad armor....so once you aggroed enough minos and griffs...cast healing hands first...and then symbol...and then cyclone, then bonetti then aura...and then healing breeze and then bonetti again...NOTE: USE THEM AT ONCE...AND BE QUICK WITH IT..NO DELAYS....and after you just keep using cyclone and bonetti whenever you have the chance while healing hands is coolin down. DONT wait for bonetti to end b4 using cyclone again...whenever cyclone is recharged USE it + bonetti...because cyclone = gain health since you have live vicariously. and then at this point healing hands should be recharged...so use it again...and then cyclone and bonetti + aura...and then symbol and cyclone...kinda like repeat first part. (whenever you have healing hands on...bonetti should not be used...but should be at a READY position for when healing hands is FLASHING...you use breeze plus bonetti.

hope this helps...casue i always aggro everything and kill...to save time lol =)

if you wanna know my attrib...they are

12 healing
12 smite
4 tactics
2 strength (kinda useless but gives you that 2% penetration LOL)

oh yeh...best if you axe has "enchantments last % longer" casue it makes wrath and aura and healing hands and everything longer lol =)

Yeah, I tried that build, on numerous occasions but I was dying immediately, no idea why, but it just wasn't working for me. If you don't mind my asking, what equipment do you have on, and what additions?

Lord, Im not aware if you read my post: the build you are using (the one mentioned in your original post) is what I use 100% of the time.

It works great, I can drop all the griffons + the boss(warrior boss) in about 3 minutes. The only damage spells you even need are bals aura and symbol of wrath. Dont both with anything else.

Recommended gear is of course gladiators set with atlest major vigor + absorbtion. And health bonuses on your shield and weapon are a plus.

The trick, is executing the build perfectly. Im not at home right now so I cant show you, and im not willing to post it here.

If you want contact me later on around 11pm eastern time.

Heh, that might explain why. I don't have any runes on this armor yet, only on my main set. And currently I have a Chaos Axe with 20% extended enchantment, and a shield that gives me +23 health. I guess I need at least a major rune of absorb....to start with.

Old topic. If you use the Search feature, you will find multiple builds.
